Reception Timeline 

Keeping your reception timeline on track is one of the key jobs of your DJ.   Setting up a great timeline is the best way to keep your party running smoothly! 

If your ceremony began at 6:00pm and you are having a cocktail hour or an hour set aside for family photos before the reception we suggest the following!  (If your wedding starts at a different time, simply alter the times)

Timeline (6 pm ceremony with cocktail hour)

6:00 pm Ceremony

6:30-7:30 pm Cocktail Hour

7:45 pm Grand Entrance leading into First Dance

8:00 pm Dinner

8:30 pm Toasts

8:45 pm Parent Dances

9:00 pm Open Dance

9:30 pm – 9:45 pm Cake, Garter, Bouquet

9:50 pm Open Dance until Grand Exit
