Can you believe it’s almost October?! As a DJ, I’m able to experience all different sorts of styles, color schemes and themes. Every wedding is personal to the bride and groom and reflects on them as a unit. As 2017 is rolling to a close, let’s take a look at the hottest wedding trends of the year.
Fusion Set Trends
One of the most unique trends I’ve seen is fusion entertainment. With fusion, you combine a live band with a DJ to get the best of both worlds. By merging the two sets, you’re able to get a one of a kind sound.
Unique Lighting Trends
Disco balls and rainbow lights are a thing of the past. This year was all about different textures and tones of lighting. From chandeliers, monograms, candles, lanterns, string lights and uplighting. You can also mix and match different lighting fixtures to create a special twist to your venue!
Performance Acts
You’ve probably seen videos floating around Facebook or Instagram of bridal parties putting on a true performance! From choreographed dances to flash mobs, this trend really took off this year! If you are a couple who loves performing and having fun, this could be for you.
